FLEXCHEM™

Flexchem is a group of translucent, flexible, non-toxic vinyl compounds which were specifically developed as an alternative to silicone in various applications. These formulations utilize a non-phthalate plasticizer system for use in medical device applications. This unique product line offers excellent release characteristics, rubber-like compression properties, good burst strength and durability. These compounds can even be solvent bonded for ease of assembly. Flexchem compounds can be extruded or injection molded; they do not require any special equipment for processing.

An alternative to silicone in a nearly endless list of uses, including tubing for pumping applications, urinary drain sets, beverage spouts, gaskets, etc., Flexchem is available in durometers ranging from 35 to 65 shore A hardness. It is formulated utilizing only FDA sanctioned raw materials and has been designed for use in USP Class VI applications.

For medical use, complete traceability and lot identification of all components in the Flexchem products are maintained at Colorite.
